Didn't quite make it till midnight...

End of 2007... What a year

2007 has been quite a year in our family. On January 10th we found out that I was pregnant with our first baby. In May, my sister Hannah graduated from Agnes Scott with a double major in mathematics and astrophysics. We also found out that everyone had been WRONG about what gender the baby would be. According to family and friends it would be a boy. We let our families know at a cookout what to expect. We gave them a bib that said "I am not a boy". We then spent the next 4 months struggling with a choice of names for her. 

At the end of June, my brother David married Britta Spencer. The main event for the year for us was the arrival of our daughter September 7th. Lily Claire Evans has been a joy to watch grow. It is amazing that she has grown and learned so much already at nearly 4 months old. She is beautiful and a very good baby and we feel very blessed to be her parents.

Michael continues to work in software development for a company in Norcross. I am still teaching in Hall County. We were very fortunate to find a superb babysitter for Lily. The only thing better would be if one of us could stay home with her.

I plan on using this site as a way to keep family and friends up to date with our family news. We hope that you all have a wonderful new year in 2008.
